WHO AM I

My name is Oliwia. I am Polish and I study at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, specialising in Marketing, while currently doing my Minor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Fashion came into my life during the pandemic, when everything felt stopped. I started experimenting without really knowing why. I just felt the need to try something different. What began as fun slowly became me. From someone who never cared too much about clothing, I became someone who knows what feels like me and what feels right. Through clothes, I found my voice.

Before that, I was set on math and business. Economics felt logical, stable, right. But fashion made me realise how much I need visual expression in my life. It became a daily habit and a way to express who I am without speaking.

I understood that fashion as art can hold meaning. It can carry emotions, questions, and things people often struggle to put into words. That’s what brought me to Amsterdam. I didn’t want to choose between creativity and structure, so I decided to study both fashion and business.

My story inspired me to create fashion projects with others; projects that talk about shared struggles and thoughts, expressed through clothing.

Over time, I began working on collaborative projects that share experiences and emotions through clothing. I’m interested in how fashion can be used as communication tool. This is where I feel most myself: between emotion and strategy, intuition and concept, fashion and meaning.
